Massachusetts Voter Registration Deadline Is Oct. 24: Those Who Miss It Cannot Vote in the Nov. 3 Election

Saturday, October 24, 2026 · States · GSM News

According to an Oct. 23 report by Newsradio 95 WXTK, the voter registration deadline in Massachusetts for the Nov. 3 general election is Saturday, Oct. 24. Voters registering online must have a signature on file with the Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles; mail-in registration forms must be sent to the local election office and postmarked by the Saturday deadline; in-person registration is available at town clerk, election commission or registrar of voters offices. Massachusetts does not offer same-day registration, so voters who miss the Saturday deadline cannot vote in this election. Boston's Election Department previously noted that Boston voters may register in person by 5 p.m. on Oct. 24 at the department (Room 241, 1 City Hall Square) or online by 11:59 p.m. on Oct. 24 at voteinma.com, with mailed forms postmarked by Oct. 24. The Nov. 3 state election will choose a governor, a U.S. senator, U.S. House members, Massachusetts legislators and other local officials, along with nine ballot questions; Boston's Election Department is recruiting poll workers, paying $160 to $200 plus a training stipend, and encouraging bilingual applicants.
