Virginia Opens Weekend Early Voting Today: One of the Last Two Weekend Voting Days Before the Nov. 3 Election

Saturday, October 24, 2026 · States · GSM News

Virginia voters will have a weekend early voting day for the 2026 general election on Saturday, Oct. 24, with early voting sites open across the Commonwealth where voters can cast ballots with valid identification. Under the State Department of Elections' schedule, this year's weekend early voting days are Oct. 18, Oct. 24, Oct. 25 and Oct. 31; Oct. 31 is the last day of in-person early voting, and Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 3, with polls open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Virginia's ballot features several national story lines: voters will choose a U.S. senator, with Democratic incumbent Mark Warner facing Republican challenger Bert Mizusawa; all 11 U.S. House seats are also up this year, including the 2nd District, where Republican incumbent Jen Kiggans faces former Democratic Rep. Elaine Luria in a race seen as a top Democratic target. Voters will also decide three state constitutional amendments, concerning same-sex marriage, restoration of voting rights after felony convictions, and reproductive rights. The Department of Elections notes that early voting locations and hours vary by locality, and voters should confirm with their local registrar or use the polling place lookup tool on the department's website.
