No. 1 Nebraska Volleyball Hosts USC on Oct. 24 'Pink Night' for Breast Cancer Awareness
At 8 p.m. Central Time on October 24, the No. 1-ranked Nebraska women's volleyball team hosted USC at the Bob Devaney Sports Center in Lincoln, with the match televised on the Big Ten Network. Nebraska entered at 20-0 overall and 8-0 in the Big Ten, chasing the 10th 20-0 start in program history, and riding a 52-match regular-season winning streak.
The match was also the team's annual "Pink Night," with the arena dressed in pink to raise awareness of breast cancer prevention and treatment. USC came in at 9-10 overall and 3-6 in the conference, but historically holds an edge in the series against Nebraska and has the ability to spring an upset.
Whether Nebraska could keep its unbeaten run alive was the night's biggest question.
