Pentagon's Seventh UAP Release: Federal Agents Describe Silent Black Triangle Rising Vertically, Hovering, Then Vanishing at Fighter-Jet Speed

Washington — The U.S. Department of War on October 23 released its seventh batch of PURSUE files on unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAP), 28 PDFs in all. Two of the documents describe the same encounter: in June of this year, near an unspecified national security site in the western United States (the exact date and location are redacted), three federal agents at sunset watched a dark black triangular object appear above a ridgeline a few miles away.
According to a debrief memo by investigators from the All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO) and a signed statement the agents gave to the FBI, the agents were alerted by a third agent stationed nearby, repositioned, and 'almost immediately' spotted the object against the afterglow. 'We observed a substantial, nonreflective, dark black triangular object most resembling a delta wing drone,' they wrote, estimating its wingspan at about nine to fifteen feet, its depth at six to nine feet and its thickness at one to two feet. The FBI document includes illustrations of the scene and of the craft.
The AARO memo says the craft executed 'a slow, controlled, perfectly vertical ascent' of about 200 to 300 feet directly over the ridgeline, 'maintaining a completely static orientation without tilting, swaying, or wobbling,' its matte black exterior 'a continuous, featureless profile,' and that 'the ascent occurred in absolute acoustic silence.' Through an infrared scope, the agents said, the object 'appeared hotter than ambient temperature with a completely consistent thermal signature across the entire airframe and no visible exhaust gases.'
At 200 to 300 feet above the ridgeline, the craft stopped 'instantaneously' and hovered, perfectly still, for about 20 seconds, then sped off at a velocity the agents compared to that of a military fighter jet, vanishing from sight within seconds. 'Absolute acoustic silence persisted throughout the high-velocity phase,' the memo says. 'No impact signature, smoke, dust, or physical disturbance was observed. A ground survey of the canyon drainage conducted the following morning located no wreckage, ground scarring, or vegetation damage.'
The Pentagon said AARO considers the incident to 'warrant further investigation,' citing the close alignment of the reported features with other reported incidents in the western United States; AARO drew no conclusion about the object's origin. The seventh release is part of the rolling disclosure of UAP files mandated by an executive order President Trump signed earlier this year.
