Prepared Peninsula Expo Near Rancho Palos Verdes on Oct. 25: Free Preparedness Fair by Four Peninsula Cities

The City of Rancho Palos Verdes, in Los Angeles County, California, announced that the four cities of the Palos Verdes Peninsula are once again partnering to host the annual Prepared Peninsula Expo, an emergency preparedness fair, on Sunday, October 25, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Palos Verdes Peninsula High School (27118 Silver Spur Road, Rolling Hills Estates). Admission is free, and a free lunch is provided while supplies last.
The expo focuses on how to mitigate, prepare for, respond to and recover from a disaster, with dozens of exhibitors, demonstrations and equipment displays. Local organizations will share preparedness tips and tools, and retail vendors will sell preparedness goods such as extended-life water, emergency bags and meals-ready-to-eat (MREs). The city says the event is a chance to learn from emergency readiness experts how to protect family, pets and homes in an earthquake, wildfire or other disaster. The expo is presented by the four Peninsula cities in partnership with the PV Farmers Market.
