Rock Band Turnstile Plays Free Benefit Show on the National Mall, Raising Over $220,000 for Palestine, Sudan and Lebanon

Sunday, October 25, 2026 · City · GSM News

Washington — Turnstile, the American hardcore rock band and multiple Grammy Award winner, performed a free benefit concert near the Washington Monument on the National Mall on October 24, raising funds for the humanitarian organization Human Concern International to support relief work in Palestine, Sudan and Lebanon. As of October 25, the concert had reportedly raised $221,000, surpassing its original goal of $150,000. The show charged no admission and relied entirely on on-site donations; the National Park Service estimated that about 60,000 people attended. The funds raised will go toward basic needs such as food, water and medical facilities in the affected regions. By combining music with humanitarian fundraising, Turnstile's performance became one of the most closely watched public events in Washington this weekend. The band's partnership with Human Concern International on the concert reflects musicians' continued engagement with social issues. The show's success also demonstrates that a free, donation-based benefit model can rally broad public support and deliver tangible help to communities in need far away.
