Jessup Draws 1–1 With Chaminade to End Seven-Match Losing Streak and Earn First Conference Point

Honolulu, Hawaii — The Jessup University men's soccer team drew 1–1 on the road against Chaminade University in Honolulu on October 25, ending a seven-match losing streak and earning its first point of the season in the Pacific West Conference. Jordee Magana scored off a pass from Jesus Rios just 2 minutes 28 seconds into the match to give Jessup the lead; although Jessup was outshot 9–4 in the first half, it took a 1–0 lead into halftime. Chaminade equalized in the 58th minute and finished with 18 shots, seven of them on target, holding a clear advantage but unable to find a winner. Jessup goalkeeper Curtis Lynch made five saves to preserve the draw. Jessup is now 2–11–2 overall and 0–6–1 in the PacWest. The draw, while not a win, stopped the slide and gave the team confidence heading into its final two matches. Jessup remains in Honolulu to face Hawaii Pacific University on Monday, October 26, before closing the regular season on the road against Dominican University on October 31.
