Houston, Texas — The New York Giants defeated the Houston Texans 27–21 in overtime in Houston on Sunday, October 25, for their fourth win of the season. Giants running back Devin Singletary sealed the game with a 30-yard touchdown run in overtime, beating his former team; earlier in the extra period, Cam Skattebo's 42-yard run had carried the ball to the Texans' 30-yard line to set up the winner. Giants quarterback J.J. McCarthy, making his first start since joining the team, completed 20 of 28 passes for 252 yards to lead the victory. Skattebo rushed 17 times for 124 yards and a touchdown, and wide receiver Malik Nabers caught seven passes for 111 yards. Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud completed 17 of 28 passes for 153 yards and two touchdowns, and with 52 seconds left in regulation he found Xavier Hutchinson for the tying score to force overtime. But after Houston's first overtime possession ended in a three-and-out, the Giants struck for the decisive touchdown.
