Vote Centers Open Across 30 California Counties as Sacramento Voters Cast Early Ballots In Person

The California Secretary of State's office announced that, starting Saturday, October 24, vote centers in 30 counties across the state have opened for early in-person voting, including Sacramento County. Other counties with open vote centers include Alameda, Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Diego, Santa Clara and Ventura. State officials said more than 3.1 million ballots have already been returned statewide. At vote centers, voters can vote in person, obtain a replacement ballot, register and vote the same day, or drop off a completed mail ballot. More vote centers will open starting four days before Election Day and remain open through Election Day. Voters can find the vote center nearest them through the Secretary of State's early voting lookup website.
The November 3 election will choose all seats in the House of Representatives and some in the Senate, and the races are drawing close attention. Election officials urge voters to use early voting to ease Election Day lines and not wait until the last moment; mail voters should also send in or drop off their ballots early to avoid missing the deadline. Sacramento County voters with questions about eligibility, replacement ballots or vote center locations can contact the county elections office directly, rather than trusting unverified information on social media.
