Sabbatini Fires a 62 to Come From Behind and Win the Stifel Charity Classic in St. Louis, Earning $350,000

Slovak golfer Rory Sabbatini shot a 9-under-par 62 at Norwood Hills Country Club in St. Louis on October 25 to come from behind and win the 2026 Stifel Charity Classic, the opening event of the PGA Tour Champions' Schwab Cup playoffs.
The 50-year-old Sabbatini carded two eagles and eight birdies against three bogeys in the final round, with a 29 on the back nine, finishing at 14 under par to beat Darren Clarke by one shot. His final round was six shots better than the co-leaders', lifting him eight places to the title, and the 62 was the best round of the day in the field.
It was Sabbatini's first victory in a PGA Tour-system event since 2011. A six-time winner on the PGA Tour, he now has his first PGA Tour Champions title, becoming the first Slovak winner on the tour, and earned $350,000. After the event, the top 54 players in the standings advanced to the next stop, the Simmons Bank Championship, with Justin Leonard taking the last spot.
