Orrington, Maine Hosts Charity Disc Golf Tournament on Oct. 25, Proceeds to Help Local Food Pantries
On October 25, Orrington, Maine will host the 2026 “Disc Golf Tournament to End Hunger in Maine,” teeing off at 12:30 p.m. at the DR Disc Golf course. Hosted by Brewer Federal Credit Union, the event uses a three-person best-shot format with an entry fee of $15 per person; all proceeds go to the Maine Credit Unions' Campaign for Ending Hunger to support local food pantries. Organizers say food, drinks and prizes will be provided after the round, and players need not bring their own discs, as the course can lend them. Set on an 18-hole wooded course, the charity tournament combines outdoor sport with community mutual aid, letting participants experience disc golf while lending a hand to local families in need.
