Documentary 'Roadless' Premieres in Billings on Oct. 25: A 211-Mile Trek Across the Alaskan Wilderness

At 6 p.m. on October 25, the documentary Roadless will hold its world premiere at the Babcock Theatre (2810 2nd Ave N) in Billings, Montana. The 60-minute film was directed by filmmaker Robert Lester, and a Q&A with the director will follow the screening. The production is Montana-made.
The film follows three adventurers as they walk the full 211-mile route of the proposed Ambler Road, crossing rivers, tundra and pristine forest some 160 miles north of the Arctic Circle in Alaska. If built, the proposed mining road corridor could change the face of this wilderness; the film aims to show audiences what it looks like now.
Roadless is Lester's latest wilderness work following The Columbia River Canoe Project (2024), and the Billings premiere is a key stop for the filmmaker to meet audiences in person.
