Denver Hosts 'Five Alarm' 5K and Chili Cook-Off on Oct. 25, Part of Entry Fees to Retired Firefighters

On October 25, the Colorado Brewery Running Series' 'Five Alarm' 5K and Chili Cook-Off will be held at Bierstadt Lagerhaus in Denver, with the run starting at 10 a.m. in two waves, at 10 and 10:30 a.m. The course starts and finishes at the brewery, and runners can complete the 5K at their own pace, then taste beer and the competing chilis. The chili cook-off has up to 20 entrants, with awards for best red chili, green chili, vegetarian chili and best overall; the overall winner receives 'free beer for a year' at the brewery plus six free entries to the 2027 series. Organizers say 10% of entry fees will be donated directly to a Denver retired firefighters association to give back to the local community.
