According to the public calendar released by the Washington mayor's office, Mayor Muriel Bowser attended the ribbon cutting for the Lab School of Washington's Foxhall campus at noon on October 25, at 1550 Foxhall Road NW; the event was closed to the press. The Lab School serves students with learning differences, and the opening of the new Foxhall campus space is a milestone for the school this year. The mayor's public calendar showed no public events on Saturday, October 24, making Sunday's ribbon cutting her only public engagement of the day. After the ceremony, the campus will gradually come into daily teaching use, giving nearby families more school choices close to home.
