On the evening of October 24, the Las Vegas Asian Lantern Festival was held at its new venue this year, the Desert Breeze Event Center at 8455 Kids Zone Parkway in Las Vegas. According to the lineup announced by organizers, the night featured music, traditional dance and live cultural performances, with street food and local artisan stalls beyond the stage, and community creators and performers showcasing their work under the lanterns. The festival is an annual cultural event for Las Vegas's Asian community; in its first year at Desert Breeze, organizers also offered a VIP area with dedicated food, merchandise and parking. For safety, visitors were told not to bring outside food or drinks (except sealed water bottles), alcohol, weapons, coolers, tents, bikes or scooters, and pets were not allowed except service animals. Together with the dining and shopping of the city's Chinatown area, the festival showcased the vitality of the Asian community around Spring Mountain Road.
