Louisiana-Monroe Rallies Past Troy 21-14 in Final Seconds for First Win in Over a Year

In a Sun Belt game at Troy on October 24, Louisiana-Monroe rallied in the final 15 seconds to beat Troy 21-14, the Warhawks' first victory since September 27, 2025, ending a winless stretch of more than a year. ULM trailed for most of the game and was down by 11 at one point.
The offense came alive in the second half: with 15 seconds left, quarterback Aidan Armenta found Darrion Gilliam on a 16-yard touchdown pass to give ULM its first lead. On Troy's final possession, a series of laterals ended with Billy Pullen recovering a fumble in the end zone to seal the win. Armenta completed 13 of 22 passes for 147 yards and two touchdowns in the second half, and Noah Flemmings posted a game-high 15 tackles.
Head coach Bryant Vincent, visibly fired up afterward, said the team would use the win as a stepping stone. ULM, which had lost its first six games this season, is now 1-6 overall and 1-2 in the Sun Belt, and hosts Southern Miss on October 31.
