On October 25, the latest college football rankings lifted the Kentucky Wildcats on both lists: No. 8 in the Coaches Poll and No. 9 in the Associated Press Top 25. It is Kentucky's first appearance in the Coaches Poll top ten since Week 5 of 2022, when the Wildcats also stood at No. 8 before a narrow road loss to No. 11 Ole Miss dropped them to No. 13 the following week. A week ago, Kentucky was No. 12 in both polls. The climb followed a 34-17 home win over Vanderbilt on the night of October 24, which moved the Wildcats to 7-1 overall and 5-1 in the SEC, alone atop the conference standings, half a game ahead of No. 5 Georgia. Kentucky has its only bye week of the season next, then travels to Tennessee on November 7, with the kickoff time to be announced October 26. Head coach Will Stein said after the game that the team is not satisfied with a 7-1 start and hopes to deliver a 'November to remember.'
