Eight leading New Hampshire candidates address the state's largest Jewish congregation in Manchester on October 25

On October 25, eight candidates for major state and federal offices in New Hampshire appeared at Temple Adath Yeshurun in Manchester to present their platforms to the state's largest Jewish congregation. The event continues a biennial tradition of more than 50 years, moderated by former U.S. Ambassador to Belize George Bruno; each candidate appeared individually, gave opening and closing remarks, and answered questions submitted by the audience. Topics spanned foreign policy, the economy, health care and social issues, including positions on Iran, aid to Ukraine, conflicts of interest among government officials and gender-affirming care for minors. One candidate, Lilly Tang Williams, emphasized free-market principles, fiscal restraint and lower household costs in her answers, and said international disputes should be resolved through diplomacy, with more federal resources directed to domestic needs. Coming ten days before the election, the forum gave candidates a traditional platform to court key voters and showed that New Hampshire's 'first-in-the-nation primary' political tradition remains active in a midterm year.
