On October 25, the 12th annual Brick-or-Treat was held in Oklahoma City's Bricktown district downtown, open free to families from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. Hosted by the Bricktown Association and the Downtown Oklahoma City Partnership, the event featured more than 45 candy stops at participating businesses, where families could pick up an event map and trick-or-treat from stop to stop. Entertainment was arranged around Mickey Mantle Plaza outside the Bricktown Ballpark, with appearances by Spider-Man, Bluey and the Ghostbusters, DJ music and interactive performances by community groups, plus Halloween photo spots throughout for family pictures. Parts of Sheridan and Reno avenues were closed during the event to give participants more room, letting parents stroll comfortably with their children. Candy and giveaways were for children age 14 and under in costume, and for anyone accompanied by a guardian; the hosts welcomed families to come downtown for a relaxed Halloween Sunday and an autumn day out together.
