On October 25, the Southeastern Conference fined the University of South Carolina $500,000 after fans stormed the field following the Gamecocks' 27-24 home win over No. 11 Tennessee on October 24. Under conference policy, the fine will be paid to the University of Tennessee. In the final moments, South Carolina kicker Malik Orsan hit a 48-yard field goal as time expired to seal the win, and fans poured onto the field. The SEC has had a field-storming fine policy since 2004, originally escalating at $100,000, $250,000 and $500,000; Commissioner Greg Sankey changed it in 2025 to a flat $500,000 per incident. South Carolina was previously fined $250,000 after a storming following its 44-20 win over Texas A&M in 2024, and Tennessee was likewise fined $500,000 after its fans stormed the field following the October 17 win over Alabama. The win moves South Carolina to 4-3 overall and 2-3 in the SEC.
