Vermont high school football playoff pairings out October 25; three divisions decide champions November 14

On October 25, Vermont's high school football regular season concluded and playoff pairings with tentative schedules were released; champions in all three divisions will be decided on November 14 in a championship tripleheader at Burlington High School. In Division I, the quarterfinals kick off at 7:00 p.m. on October 30: Champlain Valley at St. Johnsbury, Rutland at Burr and Burton, Middlebury at Mount Anthony, and the Burlington-South Burlington-Winooski combined team at Essex. Division II quarterfinals begin on October 29, with semifinal dates to be determined. With the pairings out, Vermont's high school football season enters its most-watched phase: after a full regular season, teams must now fight through a single-elimination bracket for a place in the finals, and Burlington High School will crown three new champions on November 14.
