Salem University men's water polo goes 3-0 at the West Virginia Showdown, scoring 52 goals across the weekend
On October 25, the Salem University men's water polo team finished a perfect weekend at the WWPA West Virginia Showdown, beating Gannon 20-17 and Mercyhurst 20-11 before rallying to edge McKendree 12-10 in the finale. Salem scored 52 goals and allowed 38 across the three games, with firepower throughout the weekend. The finale was the most valuable win: trailing by two after the first quarter, Salem steadied itself and completed the comeback. Individually, Antonio Sablic led the team with 13 goals, Nandor Voros scored 12 and Arsovic 9, while Marko Jovanovic handed out 15 assists as the offense's all-purpose engine. The 3-0 sweep sends Salem out of the invitational with high morale and confidence for the season ahead.
