Tucson Raytheon Machinists Ratify New Contract on Oct. 25: 2,200+ Workers to See Average 24% Pay Growth

More than 2,200 hourly workers at Raytheon's Tucson, Pima County, Arizona, operations have voted to ratify a new five-year contract, IAM Local Lodge 933 of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers announced on October 25. The agreement brings substantial pay raises, improved benefits and more career development opportunities. The workers produce precision missiles and defense systems supporting the U.S. military and its allies.
IAM International President Brian Bryant said the agreement starts with taking care of front-line workers so the needs of defense systems production can be met, adding that the members knew their value, stood together, won an agreement they can be proud of, and secured the stability of the skilled workforce.
Key terms include average compounded wage growth of 24% over the contract term, including equity adjustments; a $3,000 ratification bonus plus a $1,500 ratification 401(k) match; a $3,500 munitions acceleration bonus; a $2,000 one-time bonus plus a $1,000 one-time 401(k) match; participation in the RTX performance sharing plan; improved vacation tiers starting in 2028, with 75% of current members covered by the new paid-time-off arrangements; and a 2028 paid-leave transition bonus for eligible members. Pay for some job classifications and night-shift premiums also rise, and new 4/10 and 3/12 workweek options offer more days off than the current 9/80 schedule.
For the southern Arizona economy, the contract both anchors the defense industry's skilled workforce and delivers tangible income gains to local families.
