Missouri Redistricting Push Goes Quiet Near Election Day: Pro-Map PAC Down to $90,000

Sunday, October 25, 2026 · States · GSM News

Reports on October 25 said the Republican campaign backing Missouri's redrawn congressional district map has suddenly gone quiet with less than two weeks left before Election Day. According to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, after a year of litigation aimed at keeping the redistricting map off the ballot, the Republican political action committee supporting the 2025 congressional map had only $90,000 left in its account as of last week.

That figure stands in sharp contrast to the advertising spending usually required in the final stretch of a campaign, and it has noticeably lowered the redistricting issue's profile in the last two weeks. At the heart of the fight is the redrawn Missouri congressional map of 2025: supporters have spent a year in court trying to stop the map from going to a public vote, while opponents want voters to have the chance to weigh in directly.

With Election Day approaching, the drying up of campaign funds means supporters will find it hard to mount another large-scale advertising or ground mobilization effort, and the final outcome for the district map will depend more on the legal proceedings already completed and on voters' existing positions. The report did not say whether the committee might still receive new donations in the final days, but its finances as of last week show that a redistricting battle that lasted a year has clearly cooled off in the home stretch.
