Mamdani and Hochul Campaign Together in Brooklyn on October 25 in Final Push Toward November 3 Election

New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani and New York Governor Kathy Hochul appeared together at a campaign rally in Brooklyn on October 25 to urge voter turnout for the November 3 election. The two addressed campaign volunteers at the Edison O. Jackson Auditorium at Medgar Evers College, calling on them to knock on doors and get out the vote.
Mamdani said in his remarks that his partnership with Hochul had produced a $1.2 billion investment in universal child care, and warned that Republican gubernatorial candidate Bruce Blakeman, if elected, would cancel the program and raise the cost of raising children for New York families. Hochul was greeted at the event with chants of "four more years" and criticized Blakeman. Mamdani said New York is the most expensive city in America, that they are working to lower costs for New Yorkers, and that their opponents' proposals would make residents pay more to raise their children.
The joint appearance came while early voting is under way. The governor and mayor campaigning together shows Democrats are focusing their final push on mobilizing volunteers and raising turnout, with nine days left before Election Day.
