Foxconn Unit Q Edge Buys Two Santa Clara Factory Buildings for $55.25 Million: 110,083 Square Feet to Expand SI Hardware Capacity

SANTA CLARA, California — Hon Hai Precision Industry, known as Foxconn, announced that its subsidiary Q-Edge Corporation has acquired the land and factory buildings at 2975 and 3001 Stender Way in Santa Clara for $55.25 million. The transaction was approved by the board on August 26, 2026; the seller, GVII-LPC STENDER OWNER, LLC, is not a related party, and the company said the purchase is to meet operational requirements. The site totals 110,083 square feet, or $501.88 per square foot.
The deal surfaced on October 21 in newly published property filings reported by The Mercury News and other local outlets: the two adjacent buildings, previously vacant research and industrial space totaling about 110,100 square feet, are both described by Foxconn as factory space, though it is not yet clear whether the company will repurpose the existing buildings or demolish and rebuild.
Q Edge has previously been reported to have received a $188 million investment specifically to increase production of SI hardware and server racks. Santa Clara sits at the heart of Silicon Valley, home to Nvidia and other SI companies, and Apple also holds extensive property there; Foxconn's purchase is widely read as a move to expand its U.S. manufacturing footprint close to its SI customers.
