Secretary of War Pete Hegseth to Visit the Philippines and Join ASEAN Defense Ministers' Meeting-Plus
The U.S. Department of War announced on October 25 that Secretary of War Pete Hegseth will travel to the Philippines and participate in the ASEAN Defense Ministers' Meeting-Plus (ADMM-Plus).
In a brief statement, the Department said the trip will reaffirm America's commitment to peace through strength in the Pacific. On the margins of the ADMM-Plus, Hegseth will hold bilateral and multilateral meetings to strengthen deterrence, advance key alliances and partnerships, and expand burden-sharing across the region. The statement did not release specific dates or itinerary details.
