Portland Historic Landmarks Commission Meets on the Afternoon of October 26: 2026 Retreat Action Items at 1:30 p.m.

The Portland Historic Landmarks Commission will hold a public hearing on Monday, October 26 from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.; the agenda includes items of concern from 1:30 p.m. to 1:45 p.m., followed by a work session from 1:45 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. on the action items of the 2026 retreat. The Landmarks Commission's regular hearings are held on the second and fourth Mondays of each month, and October 26 happens to be the fourth Monday of the month, in keeping with the regular schedule. The city reminds the public that the agenda may change at any time and items may be rearranged; documents for each item will be published as they become available, the times on the agenda are estimates only, discussion will proceed in the order of the items listed, there is a 10-minute break between items, and all continuances and rescheduling are requested by applicants unless otherwise noted. Portland Permitting & Development says it is committed to providing equal access to information and hearings for everyone; residents who need accessibility accommodations or alternative communication formats should contact 503-823-7300 no later than five business days before the hearing; the automatic captions on the hearing's Zoom may not be as accurate as live captioning, and those who need a closed-caption transcript of the meeting can contact the hearings clerk. For residents who care about the preservation of Portland's historic buildings, this October 26 work session is a window into the commission's next priorities.
