Early voting in Ohio was open on Monday, October 26, from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. According to the schedule published by the Secretary of State's office, Ohio's early voting sites were open on Saturday, October 24 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., closed on Sunday, October 25, reopened on Monday, October 26, and will also offer a voting session from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, November 1, with extended hours on Saturday, October 31 as well. Election-watching media remind voters that Ohio early voting is not open every day, and confusing the two Sundays could lead to a trip to a closed voting site. The deadline to request an absentee ballot is 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 27, and regular domestic absentee ballots must reach the board of elections by 7:30 p.m. on November 3. Voters in Franklin County, where Columbus is located, should note that an early voting site's address is not necessarily their Election Day neighborhood polling place, and should confirm the authorized address published by the county board of elections before setting out. October 26 is the first weekday of Ohio's early voting week and the day before the absentee ballot request deadline, so voters who have not yet requested an absentee ballot need to act quickly. Voters can check their own early voting arrangements on the Secretary of State's website.
