Georgia Gas Prices Ease to $3.65 a Gallon, Still 63 Cents Below the National Average

Monday, October 26, 2026 · City · GSM News

In Atlanta, Fulton County, Georgia, data released by AAA on October 26 show Georgia's average gasoline price now stands at $3.65 per gallon, down 8 cents from last week, down 51 cents from last month, and 63 cents below the national average. AAA spokesperson Montrae Waiters said the state fuel tax suspension, the switch to winter-blend gasoline and declining seasonal travel demand are pushing prices lower, but crude oil prices remain high, limiting the relief drivers actually feel.

By conversion, the national average is about $4.28 per gallon. The fuel tax suspension means drivers temporarily do not bear the state fuel tax portion when filling up. Georgia's governor previously announced an extension of the fuel tax suspension through November 30, covering the Thanksgiving travel season. AAA advises drivers to save further by comparing prices, using fuel rewards and combining trips. Note that the above averages adjust with overnight price changes; drivers should rely on the posted price at the station before traveling.
