The City Council of Charlotte, Mecklenburg County, North Carolina, is scheduled to hold a regular meeting on October 26 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., in the council chamber of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Government Center at 600 E. Fourth Street. The meeting opens with a public forum starting at 5:30 p.m., at which residents may speak on agenda topics in person.

The city said the meeting agenda has been posted on the city website; residents who cannot attend can watch the livestream via the city's YouTube channel, the GOV Channel and streaming apps, and Charlotte's cable television channel will also carry it. The meeting falls during the early voting period; Mecklenburg County early voting sites remain open through October 31, and Election Day is November 3.

City council meetings are a regular channel for residents to speak directly to council members; the city reminds residents who wish to speak to review the agenda in advance and note the public forum's speaking arrangements. The meeting is free and open to the public, and residents can consult the agenda published by the city for the specific matters discussed that evening.
