New York City, New York County, New York — Global investment firm KKR announced on October 26 that Brian J. Lee has been appointed to the company's Board of Directors, effective October 26, 2026. With the appointment, independent directors rise to eight of the Board's twelve seats. Lee previously served as Chief Risk Officer of the Goldman Sachs Group and has extensive experience in risk management and financial-institution governance.

Other directors listed in KKR's announcement include co-founders and co-executive chairmen Henry Kravis and George Roberts, and co-chief executive officers Joseph Bae and Scott Nuttall. KKR said the appointment will further strengthen the Board's capacity in risk oversight. The company did not say in the announcement whether the appointment is related to any specific business change; the change in the Board's composition has itself been disclosed publicly as required for a listed company. KKR is headquartered in New York, with businesses spanning private equity, credit and real assets, and this personnel change is a routine corporate-governance disclosure.
