Ohio State Names Aravind Chandrasekaran Permanent Dean of the Fisher College of Business

Columbus, Franklin County, Ohio — Ohio State University announced on October 26 that Aravind Chandrasekaran has been named the permanent dean of the Max M. Fisher College of Business. Chandrasekaran has served as the college's interim dean since June 2025, and the appointment is subject to a final vote by the university's Board of Trustees. The university said he has worked at Ohio State since 2009, has nearly two decades of academic experience, has authored two books, holds a PhD in business administration and a master's degree in industrial engineering, and will continue to hold the John W. Berry Sr. Chair.
The Fisher College of Business is one of Ohio State's larger professional colleges, and confirming the dean means the college's leadership transition is complete. The university said Chandrasekaran oversaw the college's day-to-day operations and development planning during his interim tenure, and that after the permanent appointment he will continue to lead the college in advancing teaching and research and in serving students and the local business community.
