Comment Period on the Delmar Regional Natural Gas Enhancement Project Closed at 5 P.M. on October 26

DELMAR, Del. — The public comment period for Eastern Shore Natural Gas Company's Delmar Regional Enhancement Project closed at 5 p.m. on October 26; comments, protests and motions to intervene had to be filed with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission before that deadline in docket CP26-585-000. The project carries a total investment of $75.13 million and includes new pipeline loops, replacement of smaller-diameter pipe, abandonment of sections of existing pipe, replacement of a metering and regulation station, and related valve facilities.
The applicant says the project would add 15,800 dekatherms per day of firm transportation service for Easton Utilities and Chesapeake Utilities Corporation's Delaware division. The facilities cross New Castle, Kent and Sussex counties in Delaware, Cecil County in Maryland and Chester County in Pennsylvania.
The commission's notice establishes only the docket and the participation deadline; it does not approve the project, determine the final route or authorize construction. Members of the public could file through the commission's eComment or eFiling systems.
