Boston College Earns Three ACC Weekly Honors After Rout of Georgia Tech
Boston, Suffolk County, Massachusetts — After a lopsided road win over Georgia Tech, the Boston College football team swept three Atlantic Coast Conference weekly honors on October 26. Sports Illustrated reported the same day that three Boston College sophomores appeared on the conference's weekly awards list.
Running back Bo MacCormack III was named Running Back of the Week. Against Georgia Tech he carried 20 times for 155 yards and 3 touchdowns, turning in the best game of his college career. Defensive back Charlie Comella was named Defensive Back of the Week, and offensive lineman Vig Jean-Jumeau was named Offensive Lineman of the Week.
Boston College won the game 49–27, piling up 500 yards of total offense, including 399 rushing yards. Quarterback Mason McKenzie was sacked only once all game, with the offensive line playing a key role in both run blocking and pass protection. The win earned the three young players formal recognition from the conference for their standout performances.
