Ingalls Shipbuilding in Mississippi awards $20,000 in community partner grants to nine organizations

Pascagoula, Jackson County, Mississippi — Ingalls Shipbuilding, a division of Huntington Ingalls Industries, announced on Oct. 26 that it has awarded its 2026 Community Partner Grants, totaling $20,000, to nine local nonprofits and community organizations on the Mississippi and Alabama Gulf Coast. It is the program's fourth year. Recipients include Back Bay Mission, Caden Point, the Mississippi children's advocacy center, the Dearborn YMCA, Extra Table, the Gulf Coast Center for Nonviolence, the Maritime and Seafood Industry Museum, and the Mississippi Aquarium. Lisa Bradley, Ingalls Shipbuilding's manager of stakeholder relations, said the program aims to help these organizations become stronger and better able to do work with far-reaching impact in their communities. Ingalls Shipbuilding is Mississippi's largest manufacturing employer; the company said it will continue giving back to the communities where its employees live and work through safe, healthy workplaces, workforce development and education investment, and delivering high-quality ships to the U.S. Navy.
