Reno Logistics Company ITS Logistics to Pay Over $396,000 to Resolve EEOC Religious Harassment Charge

The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) announced on October 26 that ITS Logistics, a third-party logistics company based in Reno, Nevada, has agreed to pay more than $396,000 to settle a 2025 charge alleging religious harassment investigated by the federal agency.

The EEOC's investigation found reasonable cause to believe that soon after hire, an employee faced harassment based on his Jewish identity from co-workers and managers, including frequent comments based on offensive stereotypes about Jewish people and antisemitic postings in a work group chat in which co-workers and managers participated. Given management's involvement and the absence of any corrective response, the employee concluded further reporting would be futile and resigned. Under the conciliation agreement, the company will provide $96,135.54 in back pay and $300,000 in compensatory damages, a total of $396,135.54, update its anti-discrimination and anti-harassment policies, create a recordkeeping mechanism to track complaints, provide extensive training, and report regularly to the EEOC on its compliance for three years.

"This case underscores the importance of employers taking swift action to address religious harassment," said EEOC Chair Andrea Lucas. Christopher Green, director of the EEOC's San Francisco District, said antisemitism and other forms of religious harassment have no place in the workplace and commended ITS Logistics for resolving the matter. The employee who filed the charge said being targeted for who he is was crushing at his first job out of college. Since January 2025, the EEOC has taken over 40 public actions to defend employees' religious liberty.
