Tennessee Volleyball Middle Blocker Chelsea Sutton Named SEC Co-Offensive Player of the Week After Two Ranked Wins

Tennessee volleyball middle blocker Chelsea Sutton was named the SEC Co-Offensive Player of the Week, the conference announced on October 26. In two matches, the junior recorded 21 kills on .419 hitting and seven blocks, helping lead Tennessee to ranked victories over then-No. 4 Kentucky and No. 22 Vanderbilt.
More than half of Sutton's kills came in Tennessee's reverse sweep of Kentucky, where she posted a team-leading 14 kills on a .538 hitting percentage with no attack errors, averaging 2.80 kills per set against the Wildcats. She followed with seven kills and four blocks against Vanderbilt, helping the Lady Vols secure their second victory over a ranked opponent during the week.
Through 19 matches this season, Sutton ranks third on the team with 114 kills and 2.07 kills per set, leads Tennessee with a .376 hitting percentage — the sixth-best mark in the SEC — and paces the Lady Vols with 70 blocks at 1.27 per set. In 2025 she recorded 215 kills and led Tennessee in hitting percentage at .362, among the top five marks in the conference.
