Utah's inaugural Hard Tech Week began on October 26 in Salt Lake City, running five days through October 30 with at least 21 scheduled events focused on aerospace, defense, advanced manufacturing, super intelligence and other "hard tech" industries. The week is a collaborative effort by 47G, Utah's aerospace and defense industry association, together with Utah Tech Week and The Nucleus Institute.

The centerpiece is 47G's two-day Zero Gravity Summit, held October 28-29 at the Salt Palace Convention Center. According to the summit's published figures, the 2025 gathering drew 2,200 attendees, 58 speakers and 75 exhibitors, and organizers expect this year's summit could surpass 3,000 attendees.

Beyond the summit, the week's schedule includes a Hard Tech Week opening party, a Future of Physical AI Summit, a leadership roundtable on SI and higher education, and a talk by astronaut Jeffrey Hoffman on traveling from the Space Shuttle to Mars. 47G was founded in 2022 as the Utah Aerospace and Defense Association and rebranded in October 2023; it now counts more than 200 partnerships across industry, academia and government in a state home to Hill Air Force Base and the Utah Test and Training Range.
