HYBE Cine Fest 2026 Grosses $4.5M for Sixth Place as K-Pop Event Cinema Stays Hot

HYBE Cine Fest 2026, the K-pop cinema event from Korean entertainment giant HYBE, grossed $4.5 million over the October 23–25 weekend through Trafalgar Releasing, finishing sixth in North America, according to Box Office Mojo. The event title out-grossed several narrative features on the chart, underlining the drawing power of event cinema.
HYBE, the company behind BTS and other top acts, has turned concert films and fan-event screenings into a regular product line: cinemas double as gathering places for fan communities. Such events typically play for a limited number of days at premium prices and rely on organized fan buying to fill seats, which is how a limited engagement can crack the weekend top tier.
The North American market as a whole rose more than 20% year over year this weekend. Beyond tentpoles, documentaries, concert events and re-releases continue to claim chart positions, and exhibitors are glad to use them to fill gaps in the calendar.
