Oklahoma Medical Marijuana Authority Clarifies Recall Scope in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma County; Only Products Mixed with a Failed Batch Are Affected

Oklahoma City, Oklahoma County, Oklahoma — The Oklahoma Medical Marijuana Authority (OMMA) is clarifying which products are affected by a medical marijuana recall issued on October 20, News 9 reported on October 27. The recall involves medical marijuana flower production batches from Blue Collar Criminals Collective, LLC, a licensed grow facility; the failed batches did not pass testing for yeast and mold. According to OMMA, questions arose about products from batch number BIS091326-2 following the recall announcement. The agency said the batch initially passed laboratory testing, but a portion of it was later mixed with another batch that had failed testing, making the mixed products unsafe. OMMA clarified that only products mixed with the failed batch are included in the recall, and products from batch BIS091326-2 that were not mixed are not affected.

OMMA also recognized Blue Collar Criminals Collective, LLC for quickly reporting the issue, saying the company's actions helped prevent the distribution of potentially unsafe products. The agency encourages all licensed medical marijuana businesses to report potential product safety concerns immediately so regulators can investigate and notify the public. Patients and businesses can review the recall notice and the list of affected products on OMMA's website to check whether products in their possession are included in the recall.
