Arkansas Launches New Highway Shield Trucking Enforcement Sweep, Running October 27 to 29

ARKANSAS — The Arkansas Highway Police announced a new round of Operation Highway Shield, running from 6 a.m. on October 27 to 6 a.m. on October 29, a 48-hour sweep. The operation, conducted jointly by the Highway Police with local, state and federal agencies, targets unqualified drivers, unsafe vehicles, freight fraud and other trucking-related criminal activity.
Authorities said commercial vehicles and driver credentials will be checked along the state's main freight corridors during the operation. Drivers and carriers should have licenses, vehicle registration and insurance documents ready to avoid delays.
This is the notice for Arkansas's current enforcement window; it is separate from the nationwide Highway Shield results released earlier this year by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration.
