Connecticut: Eastern Connecticut State University to Cut Tuition $3,500 for Massachusetts and Rhode Island Undergraduates From Fall 2027, to $6,998 a Year

WILLIMANTIC, Windham County, Connecticut — Eastern Connecticut State University announced on October 27 that, starting in the fall 2027 semester, undergraduate students from Massachusetts and Rhode Island will pay annual tuition of $6,998, down $3,500 from $10,498. The university is in Connecticut; Massachusetts and Rhode Island are the home states covered by the reduction.
The university said the cut applies to tuition only, not to fees or the total cost including room and board, and that students' scholarship and financial-aid eligibility will not change. The application fee is waived for applications submitted before November 15.
