Funcom Announces Conan Exiles Enhanced for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S in Early 2027: Free Upgrade for Existing Owners, Full Cross-Play to Follow

Game developer Funcom announced on October 27 that Conan Exiles Enhanced, the enhanced edition of its open-world survival game Conan Exiles, will come to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S in early 2027, with a free upgrade for players who already own the PlayStation 4 or Xbox One version. The Enhanced edition first arrived on Steam as a free update in May 2026, and Funcom said the console release follows strong demand from the console community; an exact release date will be announced later.
The Enhanced edition brings significant visual improvements across environments, characters, lighting and effects, along with a redesigned user interface, performance enhancements and quality-of-life improvements. The Isle of Siptah expansion, sold separately, is integrated with the Exiled Lands so players can travel between the two maps in a more seamless experience. Funcom also confirmed that full cross-play is coming to Conan Exiles Enhanced soon after the console launch.
Funcom CEO Scott Junior said the company had heard loud and clear from its console community that they wanted to experience the Enhanced version, and that the studio could not wait for players on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S to experience the Exiled Lands at their best. With Conan Exiles approaching its 10th anniversary, he said the company was proud of what it had built together with players over the past decade and hoped to keep supporting and developing the game for ten more years.
Purchases carry over in full: Crom Coins, Bazaar items, DLC and Twitch Drops will all be available in the Enhanced version, and official Exiled Lands servers will transition to Enhanced with characters, followers and bases intact. Because integrating the Isle of Siptah changed the island's physical coordinates, however, existing bases on Siptah cannot be preserved in the upgrade. Single-player saves carry over to Enhanced but, once loaded there, can no longer be opened in the Legacy version. The Legacy version will remain playable on consoles in single-player or on private servers, but will receive only critical bug fixes, with no Bazaar and no official servers.
Funcom also revealed that Part Three of the Legacy of the Giant-Kings story arc will arrive on November 10, with the character Akhamet taking on a bigger role in the quest; more details will be shared at release.
