Lionsgate Television Group Names Scott Herbst President, Overseeing Development and Current Programming

Lionsgate has promoted Scott Herbst, its longtime head of television development, to president of the Lionsgate Television Group, The Hollywood Reporter reported on October 27. Herbst, previously executive vice president and head of television development, joined Lionsgate in 2018 and will continue to report to group chairman Kevin Beggs.
In the new role, Herbst will oversee development, current programming, casting, music, and the group's scripted and digital series operations.
The promotion follows the March 2026 departure of vice chairman Sandra Stern, who left after 23 years at the studio to become a long-term consultant, setting off a broader reshuffle of the television group's leadership.
The group currently has 13 series on the air, 12 of which have been renewed, including The Studio, The Hunting Wives, Ghosts, The Rookie and Yellowjackets.
