The David Bowie immersive concert experience “Stage” will world premiere on Feb. 14, 2027, at Berlin's Uber Arena in association with the 77th Berlin Film Festival, Variety reported Oct. 27. Made by filmmaker Brett Morgen working hand-in-hand with the David Bowie Estate, the experience is built around previously unseen footage of Bowie's 1978 tour.

Alongside the original footage and lightshow, the production uses immersive audio mapping and full-range transparent LED screens to create the illusion that Bowie and his band are physically present on stage. Bowie himself said in 2000 that the 1978 footage went unreleased because he “simply didn't like the way it had been shot,” while suspecting it would “make it out some time in the future.”

Tickets for the premiere go on sale Oct. 30. The tour heads across Europe in May 2027, including cities in Germany, Austria and France, and reaches the UK in June and July, including a show at Earls Court in London. The project is part of “Bowie80,” a worldwide series of events marking what would have been Bowie's 80th birthday. Morgen previously directed the Bowie documentary “Moonage Daydream.”
