Mayor Mamdani Releases First Mayor's Management Report Covering Fiscal Year 2026

New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani, in New York County, New York, released the Fiscal Year 2026 Mayor's Management Report (MMR) on October 26, evaluating city agency performance from July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2026. It is the first management report released under Mayor Mamdani, and City Hall said it shows measurable progress in lowering costs for New Yorkers, expanding opportunity for young people, improving public safety and delivering better services.
'This administration came into office with a promise to make New York City more affordable, make our streets and communities safer and make government work for working people,' Mamdani said. 'This year's Mayor's Management Report shows what happens when City Hall puts those priorities into action. We are making housing affordable, connecting more young people with jobs, putting more money back into the pockets of working families, filling more potholes and delivering the essential services New Yorkers deserve. There is no room for complacency. We are building faith in government and lowering costs one day at a time. Every number in this report represents a New Yorker we have a responsibility to serve. Our job is to serve them better and better every day.'
The Mayor's Management Report has been published annually since the 1970s as the city's agency-by-agency performance review, listing service indicators and year-over-year changes across housing, transportation, public safety, health, education and parks, and serving as a core public document for City Council and public oversight of city government.
The full report is posted on the city's website, nyc.gov, where residents can review each agency's annual data and explanations by indicator. Following release, City Council committees typically hold hearings at which agency heads are questioned on key measures.
