Wednesday, October 28, 2026 · California · GSM News

The Orange County Registrar of Voters, in Orange County, California, said in its October 27 election newsletter that, with one week left before the November 3 general election, 9,283 voters had cast ballots at Vote Centers and 337,671 voters had returned vote-by-mail ballots through Monday, October 26. Ballots accepted for counting during the early voting period will be included in the first results report posted at 8:05 p.m. on November 3.

Thirty-nine full-service Vote Centers are open now, and an additional 152 open on Saturday, October 31, bringing the countywide total to 191. All Vote Centers are ADA accessible with ample parking and language assistance, and voters may use any center in the county to vote, resolve registration issues, get a replacement ballot or receive help. Under the Registrar's public schedule, Vote Centers are open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. through Monday, November 2, and 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Election Day, November 3. Current voter registration in the county stands at 1,917,484.

The Registrar also listed the remaining Pop-Up Vote Center events, each open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. from the county's mobile voting unit with the same services as a fixed Vote Center: Tuesday, October 27 at the Braille Institute Anaheim Center, 527 N. Dale Ave., Anaheim; Thursday, October 29 at the South Coast Chinese Cultural Center, 9 Truman St., Irvine; Saturday, October 31 at CREER Comunidad y Familia in San Juan Capistrano; and Monday, November 2 at AltaMed Medical Group on S. Bristol St. in Santa Ana.

Other deadlines: October 27 was the last day to request a replacement vote-by-mail ballot by mail; after that, replacements are available in person at any Vote Center or at the Registrar's office at 1300 S. Grand Ave., Bldg. C, Santa Ana. Mailed ballots must be postmarked by November 3, and the Registrar urges voters to mail them early. The Voter Assistance Hotline is 888-OCVOTES (888-628-6837), and Vote Center locations are at ocvote.gov.
