Arizona Cardinals Roster Moves: OL Kingsley Eguakun Promoted to Active Roster, WR Zay Jones Signed to Practice Squad

MARICOPA COUNTY, Arizona — The Arizona Cardinals announced two roster moves on Wednesday, October 28: offensive lineman Kingsley Eguakun was promoted from the practice squad to the active roster, and wide receiver Zay Jones was signed to the practice squad.

Eguakun fills the roster spot vacated when wide receiver Jalen Brooks went on injured reserve with a season-ending wrist injury, which in turn cleared the practice-squad spot for Jones. Eguakun has appeared in one game for the Cardinals this season, playing four special-teams snaps in last Sunday's loss to Denver.

For Jones, it is a return to Arizona, where he played in 2024 and 2025. Last year he caught 12 passes for 183 yards in eight games before a season-ending Achilles injury; he spent this year's training camp with the Houston Texans. A Bills second-round pick in 2017, Jones has caught 307 passes for 3,295 yards with 18 touchdowns in his career for the Bills, Raiders, Jaguars and Cardinals.

With Marvin Harrison Jr. traded and Brooks out for the season, the Cardinals' active roster at wide receiver stands with Michael Wilson and Kendrick Bourne at the top, plus Simi Fehoko and rookie Reggie Virgil; Jones joins Harrison Wallace III and Shedrick Jackson on the practice squad and can be elevated for Sunday if needed, the team site said.
