DENVER, Denver County, Colorado — Denver Broncos linebacker Alex Singleton was named the AFC Defensive Player of the Week on October 28 for his performance in the Broncos' 30-16 win over the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday.

Singleton recorded 19 tackles, the most in the game, the third-highest single-game total of his career and his 30th career game with double-digit tackles; according to the Broncos, he also added a sack, a tackle for loss and two quarterback pressures. A defensive captain since 2024 who calls the defense on the field, he is the 11th linebacker in Broncos history to win the award and the team's second defensive player of the week this season, after safety Talanoa Hufanga. Through Week 7 he led the NFL with 87 tackles, and his 43 solo tackles also ranked first; in each of his Denver seasons he has topped 135 tackles, except for 2024, when he tore an ACL in Week 3.

The Broncos host the division-leading Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday and would move into first place in the division with a win.
